Een methodeboek van 12 hoofdstukken correspondeert meestal met één heel niveau van het ERK. Deze inhoud verdelen we vaak over meerdere blokken van 18 uur. De toevoegingen .1, .2 en .3 geven aan hoe ver we in het boek gevorderd zijn.
Bijvoorbeeld: A1.1 – A1.2 geeft aan dat de hoofdstukken 4 t/m 6 (van de twaalf) worden behandeld. Het héle boek is bedoeld om je van niveau A1 tot niveau A2 te begeleiden.

Most textbooks cover one CEFR level and are split into 12 units. We often spread these 12 units over several courses of 18 hours. The suffixes .1; .2 and .3 indicate which part of the book we will cover on that course.
For example: A1.1 – A 1.2 indicates that units 4 to 6 (of the 12) will be covered. The whole textbook is designed to help you progress from level A1 to A2.
