Online Dutch Course NT2 Beginners 1 (A0-A1)

This online course is intended for absolute beginners who hardly understand or speak Dutch (start level A0), with a higher educational background and who have (at least) a basic command of the English language. 

You will be encouraged to use Dutch as much as you can. Lessons are once a week (2,5 hours), self study and homework will take about 5-6 hours per week.

During the course you will learn to communicate in Dutch in everyday situations. You will apply and practise your newly-acquired knowledge of the Dutch language in near-realistic situations, such as introducing yourself and others, going shopping, travelling, talking about daily life and free time. Aside from speaking skills, considerable attention is paid to reading skills and writing skills to a lesser extent.

At the end of this course you have reached level A1. You are able to:

• understand and use basic sentences about daily life.
• introduce yourself and others
• tell about your places of living and origin, the time in the Netherlands.
• interact in a simple way, provided the other person speaks slowly and clearly.

Beginners 1 is the first of two sublevels working toward level A2:

• Beginners 1: A0-A1
• Beginners 2: A1-A2
