This course is aimed at students that know some English, but don’t really know if what they say is correct. It presupposes therefore that your English is at least at A1 level (see description A1 course).

The lessons are focused on spoken English, so there will be plenty of practice speaking everyday English. Any mistakes you make in grammar and pronunciation will be corrected and worked on.

In the course:

- you will increase your vocabulary from around 200 words to 500 words
- learn how to form longer sentences correctly
- practice with conversational prompts that are essential for making your English sound natural

The backbone of the course is formed by a reader compiled by the teacher, in which all these elements are dealt with in detail.

This course constitutes the second part of the B1 course and follows the same approach: exercises to improve your English with respect to grammar, prepositions and vocabulary followed by plenty of conversation practice. Every unit in the reader gives prompts for interesting exchanges of ideas such as: How can people maintain a healthy lifestyle in modern society?

It is highly recommended to tackle part 1 before immersing yourself in part 2, When compiling the second reader, I was led by the assumption that participants had a reasonable understanding of part one.

Dit is de tweede van drie cursussen van het blok B2 Upper-intermediate (2 van 3).

Je leest Engelse nieuwsberichten, spreekt Engels op reis, schrijft Engelse werkmails, maar als je een boek leest in het Engels begrijp je nog niet alles. Ook als je een presentatie moet geven in het Engels of als je een samenvatting moet maken, dan zoek je nog naar woorden. Vergroot je woordenschat en werk aan je lees-, schrijf-, spreek- en luistervaardigheid. Je past de grammaticaregels steeds gemakkelijker toe.

Dit is de eerste van drie cursussen van het blok C2 Proficient (1 van 3). 

Deze cursus is voor cursisten het Engels goed beheersen, vloeiend spreken en begrijpen. Als er af en toe een kleine fout optreedt, zal dit de communicatie niet belemmeren. Je zult je grammaticale vaardigheden verder verfijnen, met name in definitieve en onbepaalde tijd en uitdrukkingen met statistieken, toekomstige vormen en uitdrukkingen van zekerheid, statische en dynamische werkwoorden met nadruk op nadrukkelijke structuren, en verleden vormen met een focus op inversie met bijwoordelijke zinnen.
